This board has a lot to offer for those interested in a quick 2-player game. Granted, moves are somewhat limited because of just there being only so many territories, but there can be some strategy here. Dice can be a killer though - one bad turn can put you down too much to recover. Good graphics and a fast game.

The more I play it, the more I like it! I upped my rating.

This map is excellent! Lots of territories and flexibility to play with or without fog. The concept of "continents" for this game is unique with having to own the street corners around the city blocks. There are some choke points, but enough access to get around the board to make it hard to defend everything.

This was also the first board I ever played on (way back when on that "other" site) that allows you to switch between attack and transfer, so it has a special place in my heart.

And the cards! I always smile when I see them - perfect homage to the original TV series of Batman.

I really enjoy this board a lot!

The map is well designed and laid out, the capital city element is very interesting, allowing for quick eliminations if you are not careful. The unit caps are well thought out and provide nice balance.

The only problem I see is turn order can play a major role, if you are one of players who goes later you run the risk of getting nailed (and essentially put out of the game) by someone who got their hordes bonus ripping through your island. Other than having a lot more neutrals in the satellite, airport and seaport, I am not sure how to solve that problem (well, the Scramble Scenario helps, but I enjoy the Standard Scenario much more).

I have played all three versions (Slow Start, Scramble and Standard). IMO, the slow start plays the more or less the same as the Standard, as you can use the capital's artilery power to get all the territories on your island down to 1 from the get go.

Typically plays pretty quick compares to other games and boils down to a few oppenents (or two) before the cards recycle back to 3 in most cases.
